We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Allocate sufficient funds to the City of Albany, Oregon, to establish a West Coast Swindlers Hall of Fame.

Created by F.J. on September 12, 2016

The city of Albany, Oregon, is the home town of at least two of the most notorious and successful swindlers of the early 1900s: Maud Myrtle (Wagnon) Johnson, "Queen of Fakers," and Edward F. Lee, brazen author of the "copyrighted method" of curing erectile dysfunction through testicular massage. We call upon Congress to partner with the city of Albany in establishing a Swindlers Hall of Fame Museum, in which to share their stories along with those of countless other frontier confidence men such as "Soapy" Smith, Edouard Chambreau, and onetime Portland police chief James Lappeus, in Albany's historic downtown.
