The Salvation Army had to pay our rent and utilities for my family of five to no kidding keep us off the streets, because it took the VA almost four years while I was in and out of the hospital and unable to work before they finally took the time to read a few sheets of paper and grant me 100% disability, Even then not til I relinquished my right to bere arms to get the benefits I deserved the second I walked in the door. I'd relay the suffering I have seen in the eyes of my fellow veterans over years in the VA system. Especially after recent events regarding the VA's treatment of troops.
