Allow 3rd party candidates, balloted in 25 states or more, to participate in presidential TV debates. Terminate the CPD.

Created by S.S. on March 25, 2014

The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) has allowed the two parties in the US to monopolize debates, presenting a false lack of choices in presidential elections.

By opening participation in the televised presidential debates to any third party balloted on more than half of the states in the Electoral College, voter experiences will improve.

The false dilemma is an ugly fallacy and a government of, by and for the people should hold elections and debates more reflective of the nation. We are no longer a two party nation. The Green and Libertarian Parties, as well as the minor parties, deserve an opportunity to be heard on the main stage in order to present the American people with the choice they deserve.
