Citizens of any age should be allowed to buy in to Medicare. We understand that we will be expected to pay premiums. However, we will not have to pay for corporate profits and their outrageous overhead.
Citizens waiting to qualify for Medicare to retire can retire early and open up their position for someone else.
Citizens wishing to start a business, but will not because of the oppressive cost of individual health insurance could now do so and create more jobs. At a minimum they allow someone to fill the job they leave.
Medicare for seniors is strengthened because it is now being used to cover younger and healthier people who are paying premiums.
The economy benefits because we will be spending the money we save from lower health premiums on consumer goods & non-medical items.
