Allow active duty military members to carry their personal firearms on base.

Military members are faced with the task of of protecting the United States everyday. Many military members own their own firearms. In the wake of the recent on base shooting (ft. Hood 2009, Washington Navy Yard 2013, Ft. Hood 2014), members should be allowed to carry a firearm on their person, while on base for the protection of themselves and others, along with the protection of the United States. Military members out our first line of defense and should be armed.
The 2nd amendment right to bear arms should be upheld to active duty military. The lawful use of personal firearms could of prevented many deaths of military at home, on base.
We push for a new order from the DoD saying that it is authorized for members of the Armed forces to be armed while on a military installation.
