Amend Federal Laws to allow military personnel currently serving on a military base or that are deployed to a military base, to be issued a personal side-arm or firearm while on base for the purposes of self-defense.
All branches of the Military undergo rigorous mental and physical training to be skilled Military Leaders and Combatants to defend civilians on foreign and domestic lands but are disarmed in their own country during their assignment at a Military base.
While never being able to fully mitigate the threat of violence, changing this Federal Law would act as a deterrent to those who would bring harm to our brave men and women of the military who willingly serve our country. This also provides an immediate response to any threats presented instead of waiting for security.
