allow adopted adults the identifying information of their biological parents and their original birth certificates.

Created by V.C. on December 12, 2012

Most states seal records for adoption and make it next to impossible to locate a birth child or biological parent or sibling. Original birth certificates are sealed and new certificates are issued in the adoptive parents names. Everyone has the right to know who they are. Some states have already allowed the release of such sealed records, others have not. The federal government should urge the states to all allow the release of such records and or set federal laws allowing the same.
