Social Security is a Ponzi scheme and unsustainable. Corrupt politicians in Washington DC from both parties have raided the Social Security Trust Fund.
Allow all Americans to opt out of Social Security, and plan for their own retirement. This will promote self-reliance and individual freedom. If an person opts out, Social Security will be required to refund every cent of Social Security taxes that the person has paid to date. People who opt out will not be eligible to receive Social Security benefits in the future. I, and many other Americans, can do a better job of investing for my future without government involvement.
