The Bush-era tax cuts were a mistake. They contributed significantly to the elimination of the Clinton-era budget surplus and the increase in the budget deficit. All of these tax cuts should be eliminated -- not just the tax cuts for the wealthy, but the tax cuts for everyone. We could not afford them then, and we cannot afford them now.
