Allow all convicted sex offenders to request immediate and permanent deportation from the United States

Created by J.K. on October 31, 2014

There are many convicted sex offenders residing in the United States. Most are citizens, many are not. These offenders are located in prisons, in jails, and in the community. Taxpayers currently spend many millions of dollars each year to house, feed, clothe, and provide medical care for these people. There is another solution: allow convicted sex offenders to voluntarily renounce their citizenship and to permanently leave the United States. Put a system into place at immigration checkpoints where they cannot return. This would not violate the Constitution, as it would be the offender -- not the government -- who would be making the decision whether or not to give up their citizenship. Saves taxpayer money, and increases the safety of our communities.
