This will generate additional revenue for DoD, allowing cuts to appropriated funds which support these activities.
How many DoD civilians and contractors need to die in the line of duty (9/11, Navy Yard shooting, etc...), before DoD recognizes that we "earn" the right to patronize these facilities where we work? Why do Civilians (who pay income taxes that support these activities) have to drvie off base to shop or run errands during a break, when they could just walk across the street to the secure Commissary or P/X?
Bottom Line: We, DoD Civilians & Contractors, are part of the "Team"; we should be treated as such. Why not let us financially support these activities which provide benefits to the "Team"? Let the Commissary & the Exchange truly become NAF activities.
