Federal Employees have had no cost of living adjustments in over 8 years with the exception of meager 1% in the last 1-2 years. The rising cost of living through taxes and general commodities in addition to student loan costs makes it hard for Federal employees to survive on such lower incomes. The recent federal forgiveness program does nothing for federal employees who have already paid down portions of their student loans over the years and needs to reviewed. This petition is looking to forgive all student loan debt for Federal Employees after 3 years of full-time federal service regardless of debt to income ratio.
