Adoption of foreign nationals to US citizens should be no different than adopting American children. Adoption means that this person now is part of our family, regardless of the age at which this person was adopted. It is not fair that a person is excluded from any immigration rights just because they were adopted at 17, 18, 19, or any other age and not at 16. Our children are our children and all children of Americans deserve equal rights. Current law only allows for children that were adopted before they were 16. Families should not have to be kept apart because of borders. Please add this to immigration reform. This should be treated no differently than bringing a spouse.
