In the wake of the SECOND shooting at Ft. Hood in Kileen Texas. It's time we allow our military to defend itself. Allowing all active duty officers in the military to carry side arms while on any domestic military installations will help to prevent future attacks directed at our military but also dramatically increase the reaction time to an active shooter situation such as the two shootings at Ft. Hood and the the Navy Shipyard shooting. Our men and women in uniform are highly trained and qualified to protect themselves and others, it time we let them do what we've trained them to do.
