School zones have become a safe haven for unbalanced members of society to carry out unrestricted violence on innocents. You never hear of public shootings at police stations...because the public is aware that employees there are armed and can defend themselves. Make the same public perception available on campuses. Devise clear-cut legislation that allows all educational instructors and students over the age of 18 to carry a concealed firearm during their school/work day regardless of grade, status or location. Appropriate measures such as background checks and a general weapons qualification should be administered prior to issuance. This would halt these reprehensible acts against children and educators.
