College Tuition is continually increasing which means that student loans are also increasing. In order to afford a higher education it is becoming more and more frequent for a student to turn to financial aid for support. Only a small percentage of students who graduate from college are hired into jobs that can immediately support the student's loans - let alone the interest that comes with it.
I am asking that you consider making all student loans interest-free for a specified period of time (for example, the first 15 years of repayment). It is understood that this money was borrowed and should absolutely be paid back. With an incentive like that, students will be encouraged to pay their loans back at a faster pace, which will help the government as well. Please support this petition!
