The Safe Storage Encouragement Act of 2013
We are asking our politicians to present a simple bill that will allow Americans to deduct the cost of a gun safe, trigger locks, and other theft prevention mechanisms from their Federal Income taxes.
We are not asking for any requirements, restrictions, punishments, or funding. We only ask that the government acknowledge and support responsible gun owners who wish to safely secure their firearms, when not in use.
This is no endorsement of gun control or gun ownership. We only want the Obama Administration to take steps to help Americans offset the cost of choosing to properly securing their firearms. This will help us all live more safely with the guns we have, by preventing them from being stolen by criminals and the mentally unstable.
