Social Security may have been a good idea once upon a time but now with the baby boomers starting to retire and pass away, it is a flawed system.
As a young American I am paying in to Social Security without the guarantee that it will get payed back to me when I retire in 30 years. There use to be a Social Security reserve but now that is depleted and all Social Security is paid out as it comes in.
Give Americans the chance to opt out of Social Security. If they opt out they don't have to pay S.S. Tax and will not receive the benefits of it when they retire (which will most likely not exist anyways).
Does anyone know where our Federal Taxes actually go? They go to paying off the national debt INTEREST! Which in 2008 was 1.4 billion dollars A DAY!
