Allow Americorps Volunteers to be compensated for work outside of their sponsoring Americorps Institution

Americorps members work the same forty hour work week any other full-time government employee works. Yet many of us cannot fully dedicate ourselves to improving the conditions we are tirelessly working to improve because we are having trouble maintaining our own condition. It is sad enough that we are asked to dedicate our full-time to these organizations while being paid far less than the federal minimum wage, but we also cannot take on any outside work to make up the difference. Because we are considered volunteers, we should be allowed the same privileges as any other volunteer, to take on other work for pay.
