Per SEC.gov
What is a Ponzi scheme?
"A Ponzi scheme is an investment fraud that involves the payment of purported returns to existing investors from funds contributed by new investors."
Why do Ponzi schemes collapse?
With little or no legitimate earnings, Ponzi schemes require a consistent flow of money from new investors to continue.
This description is very applicable to social security. We should not be forced to participate in a government sponsored ponzi scheme.
Therefore, we should be allowed to opt out of social security, understanding: (1) we will not receive future benefits (2) we will no longer be taxed, (3) we will receive payment of current contributions to date.
