With the increase in the threat to personnel who work on military installations (ISIS, Lone Wolf and others) and the past event of Ft. Hood and the Navy Yard. The Department of Defense should allow Active Duty, Retired, Civilian, and Contractor workers who pass required background checks, the right to carry a weapon for personal protection. The DoD can recognize local state permits or create their own requirements.
