The NRA and other pro-gun advocates and groups want existing gun laws enforced. However, due to provisions and amendments inserted into legislation that they suggested the ATF is severely restricted in enforcing federal gun laws. This is a very hypocritical for these groups, particularly the NRA to take because a key reason the gun laws can not be enforced is because of the provisions they suggested.
