We have stood by and watched as American cars have been chiseled away at until all we can make is little 40mpg hatchbacks and sedans. We believe that while the concerns of environmentalist groups may be valid to some degree, that "punishing" all of us car lovers who dont like the new breed of cars and are still driving '70s muscle cars because there hasnt been anything like it come out since. If we had comparable cars that didnt have so many regulations put on them, maybe we could all drive cleaner, quieter cars. But as of right now, a lot of us will just continue to drive what we have.
