No person should be forced to shave their facial hair for uniforms in the Military(Including ROTC & JROTC), National Public Health Service, or the NOAA Corps. It is against the first amendment, freedom of expression.
We've already allowed beards for religious reasons, but what about just wanting to do it?
Beards were first outlawed in WWI in order to have room for gas masks.
But we don't usually do chemical warfare anymore, so we should be able to have beards and big mustaches.
The only exception to this rule would be if you are on the front lines, then a beard could be a problem.
Also, beards aren't disrespectful to the uniform, because from the Spanish American War and before, most people DID have beards while wearing the uniforms.
Save the Military's Beards!
