In the Senate, there are many senators who have served our Country for many, many years.
What is amazing about these people is not what they have or haven't done, but how long they've done it. For instance, Robert C. Byrd (D) has been a Senator for 51 yrs. and 5 mo. Daniel K. Inouye (D) has been a senator for 49 yrs., 5 mo.
This is not bad in any way. Really, this petition is about allowing more citizens to be elected and have the chance to serve their country through a governmental office. For instance, if the terms of a senator were limited to perhaps 2 terms, then more, different people could be elected, thus causing there to be a greater representation of America in our government and less repetition of stale ideas.
