Currently binational same sex couples cannot petition for green card visa because the Federal Government does not recognize gay marriage. Therefore, these partners do not have the same immigration rights as heterosexual couples. We are calling upon the Obama administration to recognize and include immigration rights to gay couples who are living in fear of being separated from each other.
The Supreme Court will be hearing DOMA cases in early 2013 and will have a decision to uphold or overturn this act. We are asking to stop the unjust and unfair treatment of U.S citizens who want to marry and sponsor their same sex partner. We should not deny people basic rights of marriage and equality in the law.
Please join our effort in making civil rights a priority for binational gay couples.
