We need to end the GOP stonewalling and obstructionism, and allow the Bush tax breaks for the wealthy to expire, they should never have been given the tax breaks in the first place, corporations have seen 50-year high profits, and instead of reinvesting in jobs and the economy as was the purpose of those tax breaks these past 10 years, they instead just sit on their profits.
Several studies have shown that what Romney and the GOP have proposed would provide large tax cuts to high-income households, while increasing the tax burdens on middle- and/or lower-income taxpayers.
The GOP's trickle-down approach has never worked, even Reagan agreed the wealthy should not have a lower tax rate. We need to give tax breaks to those who need it most, and rebuild our economy from the middle out.
