The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has recently ruled that government employees at the US Census Bureau in Suitland, MD are not allowed to charge their electric vehicles (EV's) in the garages on the Suitland Federal Center. This decision is contradictory to what other agencies are doing such as the EPA & DOT. See below: ACSD has received several requests inquiring about plans for charging private electric or hybrid vehicles by use of the garage outlets or charging stations provided by the government. The General Services Administration, after consulting with their legal counsel, has informed Census that the government will not allow private electric or hybrid vehicles to charge from outlets in the garages or from charging stations procured by the government.
