Currently political telemarketing/robo-calls are not exempt from the federal Do Not Call registry. These calls leading up to November elections are disruptive, annoying, and an inconvenience to every American with a home telephone.
From interuptions of meals, family time, studying, sleep (for those who work midnight shifts), and general home peace, these calls are a nuissance that needs to be stopped. Americans should be afforded the ability to request such calls from continuing to breach their home.
The Amercian people deserve the right to peace and sanctuary in their homes and not punished by harrasing calls leading to election periods.
Ironically these calls stem from politicians who make no contact with their constituants during any other time of their term(s).
