This petition has been created to instruct the federal government to remove marijuana from the controlled substances act, and make it legal under federal law. The duty of determining legality should be decided by the citizens of each state, not the DEA. This federal reform will save $42 billion taxpayer dollars, generate billions in taxes from sales, and allow the U.S. government to respect the rights and decisions of American adults.
