allow citizens to have more control over OUR Social Security and ultimately OUR future.

We the people petition you to allow us to be free. Free to make our own choices that effect our lives, our children's lives and our future. We want to have control over that and being able to have some say over Social Security is a start. We as Americans should be able to opt out and invest on our own. Currently you are taking our money and investing it in a program that may or may not be there when we retire. We would also listen to ideas where we can take half of what you take and invest on our own so that we have some guarantee that when we get old we will not have to rely on the Government. This was a great idea in the 1930's but 80 years later it needs to be revamped and become more current. Let us as Americans have more control over our Future and our Money that we work for.
