allow citizens to have weapons capable of defending against weapons that "walked" across the border to Mexican criminals

Created by J.I. on January 13, 2013

The federal government needs to leave lawful restrictions on firearms to the state governments. The second ammendment to the "Constitution of the United States" implies that the federal government should not act to limit the people's access to "arms." It is certainly a good idea to leave these laws to the states as each state has different considerations based on geography and culture. New Yorkers may feel perfectly fine with being gun-free. However states like Arizona and other border states may want to be armed in order to supress violence related to our unsecured border with Mexico. Also, in current light of gun-walking scandals the federal government should have the obligation to allow Americans to possess weapons that can defend against these very dangerous weapons in enemy hands.
