Enabling civilians with no FFL to access the National Instant Criminal Background Check System via telephone, internet browser or mobile application may be a way to prevent private firearms transactions from occurring between parties that are disqualified or prohibited from doing so. The current laws need fine tuning to allow mental health clinics and law enforcement agencies to communicate more freely; these along with the above suggestion will be a step in the proper direction to reduce murder at the end of a firearm in the future.
Information regarding mentally fit, law abiding citizens should be kept confidential and never included in any national database or registry. Firearms are the people's last defense against tyranny and the right to keep and bear them shall not be infringed.
