Allow citizens of the United States to Vote on the salaries of our respective Senators and Representatives of Congress

Created by V.E. on March 08, 2013

I believe it is our right as citizens to show our approval or disapproval for the actions and behaviors of our Senators and Representatives at all levels of Government. We should be able to show this at a time in which a raise is proposed. This is my plan:
When our representatives want to give themselves a raise, it is immediately made public, or else legal actions should be taken against them.
-The proposed raise should be restricted to $1000 per year
-On the other side of the coin the possible deduction should be the same as the raise proposed.
- Also, an option should be to keep the salary the same.
- The choice should be held in the May Primary Elections, and take effect the following fiscal year.
I believe this will allow the representatives to think twice before proposing a raise.
