Allow the citizens to vote on the upcoming assault weapons ban, if it makes it through congress, before it becomes law.

Citizens really do not have a voice in what the government says should be law. Its time for a change. If this assault weapons ban makes it through Congress it should be put to a nationwide vote and if the citizens pass it then it becomes law. I think its time for us to start deciding what is good for us. That's how this nation was meant to be ruled, by the majority. Let's not forget why the second ammendment was added, to protect liberty from tyranny.
