Allow the City and County of San Francisco to vote on and leave the Union peacefully and remain an ally to the Nation

It is time for the City and County of San Francisco to secede from the United States of America and create its own government. San Francisco has been subject to the backwards policies of the State of California and the United States for too long. It is time for San Francisco to decide what is and is not allowed in San Francisco, not an entire state or country. A new government in San Francisco would immediately grant its citizens many of the things they have long been vying for - such as gay marriage, gun bans, friendlier immigration policies, an official military-free zone and legalization of marijuana, among other things.
