We, the people, affirm that the right to film police officers on duty is undeniably important. It is beneficial both to police officers that can use video documentation for their cases, and to citizens who have been denied their rights or assaulted unjustly by police officers. Taking away the right to film police officials in action only allows and encourages corrupt officers to break the law, commit false arrests, and assault citizens; knowing that they will suffer little to no repercussions for what they do. The act of filming police officials is the only way to ensure that they are held accountable for their actions.
