Allow for college students around the nation to openly carry concealed firearms with proper registration.

Public safety is a huge concern for any governing body, especially on college campuses, where students and faculty are constantly threatened by criminal activity. In order to address this issue of public safety, concealed carry laws should be changed to allow for carry on college campuses. Public safety is the main underlying reason for regulating gun carry and usage, and is the main issue behind the topic of concealed carry – on both local and national levels. Concealed carry provides citizens with the right to defend themselves with a hidden, properly registered weapon. As of now, college campuses prohibit concealed weapons, and require students and faculty to secure weapons off campus. We feel that college students are responsible enough to carry and maintain a firearm on campus.
