Allow a computer search of illegal guns

Created by C.M. on February 23, 2013

Language included in every Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms ( A.T.F.) appropriations bill since 1979 has prohibited the bureau from putting gun sales records into a central computer database. That means workers at the bureau’s tracing center often must call gun makers and sellers and go through paper files to identify the buyer of a gun linked to a crime. We the people request the President and Congress ignore the NRA and join the 21Century by passing legislation to allow law enforcement to share a centralized firearms database. Save time. Save lives.
