We, the people, should have the right to defend ourselves from enemies foreign and domestic in all federal property and any institutions that receive federal funds. A law abiding citizen should have the opportunity to meet an active shooter with adequate force if he or she so chooses. It doesn't matter the active shooter's motivations, whether it be terroristic, work place or criminal violence, the right to defends one self doesn't end by entering a public building or area. The federal government needs to lead on this front, to set a precedence for private entities to support the citizen's right to protect life.
