Norwood Memorial Airport lies within the Class B Airspace surrounding Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts. The control tower at Norwood provides extra safety precautions to ensure the general aviation aircraft and commercial flights going to Logan don't get too close. Without this extra barrier of safety, the operation and safety of the aircraft within both airspaces will be seriously compromised.
