Allow correctional officers to carry concealed firearms nationwide under LEOSA

Created by P.B. on November 14, 2012

I believe that correctional officers that are certified to carry firearms for thier employing agency should be able to conceal carry firearms under the Law Enforcement Officer Saftey Act of 2004. once dangerous criminals are convicted they go to prison where correctional officers must deal with them. Correctional officers must discipline inmates that can not follow rules and they must put every effort towards disrupting any illegal activities that occur within prison walls. These efforts usually involve powerful gangs that have long reaching ties out side of the prison. these efforts also involve inmates that will some day be released and want revenge for incidents that occured during thier incarceration. When an officer leaves work he has limited protection unless he is included in LEOSA.
