Allow Correctional Officers, who are licensed, to bring firearms to and from work.

Created by J.M. on February 09, 2014

Most prisons do not allow staff to have firearms on property, which means we are not allowed to bring our firearms to work, or have them on the way home from work. With the increase in smuggled cellphones inside prisons, it would not take much for inmates to set up hits, knowing we will be unarmed and cannot protect ourselves. If I have a license to carry, I should be able to bring with me and lock in my car my handgun. Many of us stop before and after work to get food, gas, etc. while in uniform. Allow us to either leave our firearms in the locked vehicle, or have a lock box so that we may exercise our second amendment right!
