The Olympics is a global event in which athletes represent their respective countries in competition. For those not attending the games, it is important to be able to support and cheer on their home country's athletes.
Currently, viewing of the Olympics is only possible through a cable/subscription-based television services. This is an important event that all American citizens should be able to watch. This monopoly over access should be eliminated and open access to video streams be implemented.
