Allow Deaf and Hearing Impaired People to Serve in the Military

Created by V.G. on November 03, 2015

“Deaf people can do anything hearing people can do, except hear.” -I. King Jordan

For years, the Deaf community has been fighting for equal opportunity to serve their country. And yet, their struggle has been overlooked time and time again. Deaf people are no less capable than hearing people of serving in the military. Those that want to enlist have the physical strength, they possess the high intellect, and most important of all, they each have the strong morals and values essential for success in the military. But they will never be able to use these traits in the armed forces unless we give them a chance.
