To allow a decorated serviceman in the United States Army to go on leave from Afghanistan: 17 deployments in his career.

Created by J.M. on February 13, 2014

Multiple veterans, now currently deployed in Afghanistan, including the one I mentioned earlier, who has a bronze star and has been in 17 deployments in his 20+ year career in the Army, have been told that their request for leave has been denied 7 days short of the protocols currently in place. All of these men had previously been told that their request would be honored. I believe that with service records as illustrious as theirs have been, we as a nation, can make an exception in this case to honor their service.
