Many brave men and women died for the American flag. Executive and Judicial action needs to be taken to ensure that the flag is treated by all Americans, with respect and honor. Laws need to be created and enforced to make it illegal and punishable by law to be treat the flag in a disrespectful manner. Actions including but not limited to: standing on the flag, burning the flag, altering the flag in any way, etc. This law would be a victory for many veterans and many patriotic Americans. Our flag represents the sacrifice that many people have made, and also represents the greatest country in the modern world. This law needs to be created and would be a large step forward in strengthening our country as a whole.
