allow diabetics to join the military, by providing the necessary resources for their disability.

Created by C.H. on December 10, 2012

There are plenty of jobs in the military that can be performed at a high level by diabetics and anyone with a similar disability. Diabetics have proven through the many task they excel at in the United States and abroad that they can perform at the same or at a higher level than anyone without this disability. The opportunity of serving our great country shouldn't be stripped from us because we have a "disability". Diabetes is a metabolic disorder in which the body fails to process glucose properly. Diabetes can be caused either by a lack of sufficient insulin production or an improper response to insulin in cells. It is easily treated with diet, exercise, and insulin or a combination of any of the above. Diabetics should not be discriminated against because of this disease.
