I am a prior service Army veteran with 5 years honerable service to the country stateside & abroad. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes that is diet & exercise controlled while trying to reenlist back in. To my surprise they do not allow it & that the american disabilities act is not honored by the DOD. Others & myself believe that it is wrong to discriminate against diabetics. You should be aloud to serve in the armed forces even as a diabetic. I'm not asking to allow all diabetics in, just the ones that can regulate without medication.
