This petition has been made to allow disabled civilians and disabled veterans, who are mentally capable, to serve their country. Being a disabled JROTC Cadet, I believe it is time for someone like myself to be allowed to serve. Even though we are unable to fire a weapon, we are equally, if not more capable to manipulate technology to make up for the physical attributes we lack. Thanks to the Make-A-Wish foundation, I was able to meet President Obama. I created a PowerPoint (1st link) that stated my mission and various information as support. President Obama took the time to read. He loved it!
